Shira Shvadron (1991) was born in Milan, Italy and grew up in Israel. Her parents had mastered design and marketing. She began her journey in dance at the early age of 3. She did a choreographey and performed a dance on stage with five dancers to finalized her time practicing at the age of 15. She continued her exploration while starting to play the Guitar, Degmbe, Didgeridoo and Jaw harp. While studying music she started practicing and furnishing her drawing skills. She was then accepted to the Art & Design department of "Hayovel" High school in Herzelyia.
At the age of 17. She presented her final art project "The doors of perception" next to her final project in Design, where she invented and branded a company called "Gone w/ wind" that specialized in sustainable agriculture, encouraging natural ways of planting seeds, saving fuel and saving man-power.
She volunteered her time to promote educational activities to the youth in her city. She was one of the founders of the "Music Parliament" in the city youth center of Herzelyia, organizing bands contests and inviting famous musicians to perform for the youth of her city.
At the age of 18 she joined the "Israeli Defense Forces", serving for two years as a manager in the office of the Chief Admiral of the Israeli Naval.
At the age of 20 she started working as an intern for the company "Artist Pension Trust", where she was promoted to a full-time position.
During 2014 she traveled for eight months in Africa. Starting in Ethiopia and traveling her way down to South Africa. She volunteered In Uganda, Tanzania and Malawi.
In February 2015 she coordinated and helped leading the "Art Therapy in Israel", with the international artist Benjamin Swatez and a guest mosaic artist , Robert Markey. The "Art therapy in Israel" project invited and brought together both Jewish and Arab youth in several locations around Israel to paint together. Through canvases and three large wall murals they spread the message of peace and celebrated new connections!
Currently, Shira is in her undergraduate degree in "Visual Communication" in the Academy for Art and Design, "Bezalel", Jerusalem, Israel. In her free time she is part of the blog "Voices from Africa" and DJing contemporary tunes and beats from around Africa under the name "Shiwa Biwa".
